I took an online bag making course this past winter. I had a great time using up
some fabric scraps. Now I have lots of bags to fill for presents.
some fabric scraps. Now I have lots of bags to fill for presents.
I made an apronand matching bags for my daughter's birthday. I filled the bags with kitchen utensils, such as spatula's, spoons & measuring cups.
This is an Easter basket for my mom. I filled it with little puzzles and a coloring book and crayons.
I also made a present for myself. I use this basket & bag to carry my drop spindles & some fiber when I go out. I really do have a hard time keeping my hands still. I've even been known to spin when I am in the car. I enjoy seeing the laws of physics in action when we go around a corner while I'm spinning.
I have also started drawing again for the first time in many years. My favorite subject is dogs.
I did this drawing as a graduation present for my daughter's fiancee, Dave. It's a picture of the dog Dave had when he was a teenager.
Little Critters
I love to knit little critters. I give most of them away. But sometimes I decide to keep one for myself. I've always wanted a donkey, but John says I can't have one. I also want a sheep, but he says Naaa. I can't have an alpaca, a llama or a goat either. Seriously, that man is no fun sometimes. We have a huge field out back & no animals to put in it. I call that a waste. So I've decided to knit myself my own little farm. And I won't let John play with any of them either, so there!
